Description	shared libraries for the GTK+ syntax highlighting widget libgedit-gtksourceview is a library that extends GtkTextView, the standard GTK widget for multiline text editing. This library adds support for syntax highlighting, undo/redo, file loading and saving, search and replace, a completion system, printing, displaying line numbers, and other features typical of a source code editor. This package contains the shared libraries required by applications to use this widget.

Fix: Add a Files: debian/* stanza with the Debian packaging copyright and its licence, and a stanza (or a Files exclusion) for LICENSES/LGPL-2.1-or-later.txt giving the FSF notice.

Verified

Read all of debian/: control, rules, changelog (first 80 lines), all .install/.docs/.links files, doc-base, source/format, gbp.conf, salsa-ci.yml, upstream/metadata, tests/control and both test scripts. There are no patches, maintainer scripts or debian/compat.
Inventoried the upstream tree directory by directory (gtksourceview/, data/, docs/, po/, tests/, tools/, top-level files). 535 files; the only binary is data/GtkSourceView-logo.png (21 KB PNG), covered by the data/* stanza; its contents were not inspected.
Licence evidence: every source header is LGPL-2.1+ except data/language-specs/default-language-specs/rust.lang (Apache License, Version 2.0 ... or the MIT license ... or LGPL-2.1+), which the rust.lang stanza records correctly as Apache-2.0 or Expat or LGPL-2.1+; fcl.lang and protobuf.lang really say version 2 of the License and match their LGPL-2+ stanzas.
data/language-specs/default-language-specs/forth.lang:7 Copyright (C) 2007 Jens-Hanno Schwalm is present in debian/copyright under its own stanza; the prescan match was a false positive.
po/ka.po's libgedit-gtksourceview's authors is covered by the po stanza's Sébastien Wilmet and contributors.
tests/interactive-tests/syntax-highlighting/ is test data: file.la is a libtool archive used to exercise the libtool language spec, and the directory is not installed.
debian/copyright is DEP-5 and includes full LGPL-2.1+, LGPL-2+, Apache-2.0 and Expat texts and pointers to /usr/share/common-licenses for the rest; LICENSES/LGPL-2.1-or-later.txt is the LGPL-2.1 text.
Packaging checks: symbols file has Build-Depends-Package: libgedit-gtksourceview-dev and check level 4; soname 6 and package name -300-6 agree with meson.build; the package split, Multi-Arch fields, nodoc profile and doc-base/links are consistent; two autopkgtests exist whose names match their scripts.
dh-sequence-gir is provided by gobject-introspection (apt-cache), so the GIR tooling is available; libatk1.0-dev and libfribidi-dev are also pulled in by libgtk-3-dev, and libxml-2.0 is used directly in meson.build.
uscan found the packaged version as the newest upstream release (upstream 299.8.0, packaged 299.8.0).

Not confirmed

Build-Depends libgedit-amtk-dev (>= 5.11) and libgedit-gfls-dev (>= 0.5) cannot be satisfied by the reviewing system's package lists (5.10.0-2 and 0.4.2-1) and no candidate in ftp-master's NEW queue was reported; if the matching uploads are not pending, the package will not build.
data/GtkSourceView-logo.png could not be inspected (binary); its provenance and whether the data/* holder is right cannot be confirmed from the tree.
The symbols file's version labels (2.91.4, 3.13.90, 3.99.7, ...) were inherited from gtksourceview; only a build or lintian run would show whether they should be rebased to 299.x. They generate a satisfiable dependency, so no issue is reported.
Executable bits of the autopkgtest scripts could not be checked with read-only text access.

The LLM review finds a number of minor issues which are probably worth fixing.

Additionally, the Author Check code now outputs it's results as a suggested modification to debian/copyright which will hopefully make it easier to address the first issue.

Even though the license is LGPL-2.1+ the reference should be to /usr/share/common-licenses/LGPL-2.1 which is the actual filename.
