Final Comment
Hi,
License mismatch: GPL-2 vs GPL-2+ (Significant)
The debian/copyright declares GPL-2 (GPLv2 only), but the upstream setup.py explicitly declares GPL 2+ (GPLv2 or any later version):
debian/copyright:8 — License: GPL-2
debian/copyright:12 — License: GPL-2
setup.py:11 — license='GPL 2+'
setup.py:15 — 'License :: OSI Approved :: GNU General Public License (GPLv2+)'
In the Debian copyright format 1.0, GPL-2 means "version 2 only," while GPL-2+ means "version 2 or any later version." The copyright file for the upstream files (Files: *) should use GPL-2+ to accurately reflect the upstream's declared license.
Thanks!
