python-osteosarc 0.15.0-1

Package Information

Descriptionaccess to the public osteosarcoma dataset

Osteosarc provides a Python library and command-line tool for exploring the public osteosarc.com dataset, which contains sequencing data, variant calls, cancer vaccine targets and clinical history from one patient's osteosarcoma treatment.

It can browse samples and sequencing files, select variants and vaccine peptides, chart clinical events, and extract small indexed BAM files from remote alignments. Metadata snapshots, checksums and acquisition records support reproducible access and offline reuse of cached data.

This package includes the Python 3 library and documentation. The command-line tool is provided by the osteosarc package. Read extraction requires SAMtools.

Upstream's fixture documentation also identifies the BAM excerpts and
generated comprehensive and structural-variant test data as CC0-1.0.
Fixture provenance and acquisition records are included in tests/data.
The Apache-2.0 license covers upstream's documentation and fixture code
and metadata; the CC0-1.0 dedication covers the underlying dataset.
