Comment: When I took over the package in 2014 the d/copyright file was
written in free format and didn't mention debian/* files, but d/rules
 had this section:
  # (c) 2001 Brian Russo, under GPL.
  # (c) 2003 Josselin Mouette
  # (c) 2007-2009 Francesco P. Lovergine.
  # (c) 2010-2013 Sylvestre Ledru
Because the GPL is mentioned with no version I infered GPL-2+.

Final Comment

Hi,

Looks like doxygen/doxygen-awesome.css needs to be separately recognized in
debian/copyright.

Also review the lintian checks in the full review, many of which seem legit
things that need fixing.

Thanks!

O: hdf5-tools: no-manual-page [usr/bin/h5clear]
N:
N: Each binary in /usr/bin, /usr/sbin, /bin, /sbin or /usr/games should have
N: a manual page
N:
N: Note that though the man program has the capability to check for several
N: program names in the NAMES section, each of these programs should have its
N: own manual page (a symbolic link to the appropriate manual page is
N: sufficient) because other manual page viewers such as xman or tkman don't
N: support this.
N:
N: If the name of the manual page differs from the binary by case, man may be
N: able to find it anyway; however, it is still best practice to match the
N: exact capitalization of the executable in the manual page.
N:
N: If the manual pages are provided by another package on which this package
N: depends, Lintian may not be able to determine that manual pages are
N: available. In this case, after confirming that all binaries do have manual
N: pages after this package and its dependencies are installed, please add a
N: Lintian override.

O: libhdf5-doc: zero-byte-file-in-doc-directory [usr/share/doc/libhdf5-doc/HDF5Examples/C/HL/tfiles/h5ex_ds1.tst]
N:
N: The documentation directory for this package contains an empty file. This
N: is often due to installing an upstream NEWS or README file without
N: realizing it's empty and hence not useful.
N:
N: Files in the examples subdirectory are excluded from this check, but there
N: are some cases where empty files are legitimate parts of the documentation
N: without being examples. In those cases, please add an override.
